Evolution of Identity

I love this video. My husband shared it with me after discovering it as he researched for a series of college chapels about finding your true identity. So powerful... It's worth a minute of your time.

  1. Yowzer! Very timely. My friend just tagged me in a somewhat unflattering picture on Facebook and my vanity kicked up a notch. Made a quick comment about needing sunglasses to make myself feel better...what's that about? Why all the pressure? So, I squint in the sun? That just means I'm human, right?

    Powerful video. Thanks for posting.

  2. Whoa... every woman on the face of the planet should have to watch this. I know I fall very easily into the compare game. My husband knows to toss all the Victoria Secret catalogs that come in the mail before I get to them. It's best if I don't look at those. Thanks for sharing, Nicole. One more reason why I love Dove!

  3. I know! It's crazy, isn't it? Aaron is speaking on self perception tomorrow, and I helped him out by finding a few photos of beautiful women throughout the ages... The ideal gets thinner every generation. What next? They already make jeans in minus sizes. You've got your size 0, then you've got your -1, -2... Nuts. I vote we end it. I think you're beautiful, just the way you are. :)

  4. Negative sizes!? Seriously!? I don't even think my arm could fit through the leg of a size zero...what's this negative nonsense about? I'm with you on ending this madness. :)

  5. How do you post that video from YouTube? I would like to post it on my facebook page but I can't figure it out.

  6. Yes, negative sizes. I think the brand is "Below Zero."

As for posting, Heather, I don't know how to do it on Facebook... All I did was click "embed," copy the code, and paste it in my blog post. It all sort of happens automatically. I hope that helps!
