I have so much respect for a man who doesn't take himself too seriously. Besides, reviews are so subjective--and, I think, skewed by other reviews... If PW or the NYT or another big name in the biz hates a book, everyone else seems to also. And who knows? Maybe the book really is that bad. You can't hit it out of the ballpark every time. But I think Brad Meltzer proves with this video that a little bad press isn't going to end his writing career. Bravo.
Not to mention - the bad reviews combined with that book trailer actually make me want to buy the book. I guess it's true sometimes, what they say, the only bad publicity is no publicity...or something like that. :)
